How KETTFusion Was Developed
KETTFusion came about as the result
of combining Kettlebell , and Martial Arts exercise techniques. Michael had spent many months leading successful classes , using tried and tested, Internationally recognised Kettlebell techniques, but in a smaller weight, aerobic format. Certainly, the kettlebell exercises help improve the core, strength, stamina, and significantly contributes towards weight loss. HOWEVER, Michael felt the 'fitness' element of the exercises could be vastly improved upon. 'Fitness', in this context, is meant to describe significantly enhanced cardiovascular conditioning, whole body muscle toning and enhanced flexibility. With his knowledge as a competitive 2nd Dan Shotokan Martial Artist, he started to research and introduce Martial Arts exercises, within the kettlebell exercise format , creating a completely new dynamic, exercise system, within each class. And so KETTFusion was born! |
Bio
Michael's participation with sport has been lifelong.
It began as a teenage Longjump champion, culminating in his last professional competition at the Veterans Indoor European Athletics Championships in Birmingham in 1997. He played hockey for Midland counties, is a 2nd Dan in Shotokan Karate, and a qualified Ski Instructor. He gained his PT qualifications in California, USA, while pursuing a career as a professional Actor. Many years later he secured a role as a 'Gladiator Trainer' in an HBO historical series about famous Romans. The producers employed a PT to get his body 'in shape' using classic gym techniques and Kettlercise, He was so impressed how quickly his body transformed, using kettlebells, he decided to become an 'Advanced Kettlercise' Instructor, and from there he developed KETTFusion. |
